You were a gentleman sitting in the front row of the packed theatre before the screening. There was one empty seat between yours and mine.
As the house gradually filled up, you gave up an extra ticket to the lady at the other end of our row, whose husband was outside waiting in the standby line - she took it gladly, even offering you to pay, but you asked for nothing in return. The seat between us remained empty.
After the film ended, the special guests entered, and a handler came over to ask us, sitting on either side of that empty seat, if we would mind if Helena Bonham Carter’s mother sat there. We non-committally shrugged our assent (or I may have shrieked).
Her mom is extraordinarily nice!
I think it was the good karma from the kind gesture you’d made prior to the show, which brought HBC’s mother in such close proximity to ourselves, and I just wanted to thank you for making my night, and my friend’s!
Also, I noticed you were able to snap some pretty good pictures of the male lead from the film with your Android phone. Would you be amenable to sharing them?
